Kevin M. Cecil

Kevin M. Cecil is a lifelong Sacramento resident with an ongoing commitment toward service of the greater Sacramento community. Mr. Cecil graduated from California State University, Chico, and received his law degree from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. With experience in a variety of legal areas and settings, including, but not limited to, criminal defense, juvenile law, personal injury, and civil litigation, Mr. Cecil chose to concentrate on providing the best family law services in the greater Sacramento area, and has continued to do so for the past 13 years. He has assisted clients in many areas of family law, including divorce and legal separation, mediation, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, domestic violence restraining orders, civil harassment restraining orders actions, guardianships, adoptions, and “ghostwriting” services.

Hon. Thomas M. Cecil (Ret)

Retired Sacramento Superior Court Thomas M. Cecil serves as Of Counsel to the firm.  Judge Cecil is a 1975 graduate of McGeorge School of Law.  He was appointed to the Municipal Court in Sacramento by Governor Deukmejian in 1989 and elevated to the Superior Court by Governor Wilson in 1991.  Judge Cecil was elected Presiding Judge of the Sacramento Superior Court in 1998 and 1999.  He was named the Judge of the Year by the Sacramento County Bar in 1999.   He served as the Supervising Judge of Family Law and Probate in the Sacramento Superior Court in 2008 and 2010.  Since his retirement from the bench in late 2010, Judge Cecil has litigated hundreds of family law cases.  He also handles mediations and serves by appointment as a Private Judge.  In addition to his fifteen years of work in family law, he has substantial experience in both civil and criminal law.  During his legal career, he has presided over hundreds of criminal trials and several thousand non-jury matters.
